Sameer Jooma is a researcher at heart and loves innovating and solving business problems practically. He has a strong passion for exploring end-consumer needs and driving business strategies around this. Sameer Jooma is a mathematician by education and has postgraduate degrees in business and mathematics. He has extensive investment and retail banking experience, ranging from day-to- day branch operations, strategy development, data-warehousing, business intelligence and asset portfolio management. Before leaving a large bank, he was part of the team that managed a R400 million venture capital fund, with specific focus on FinTech investments. He also spent a number of years as a management consultant. More recently he managed the competitor strategy area at SABMiller and now heads the consumer innovation and analytics function for Africa at AB InBev.
