Simnikiwe Mzekandaba

Simnikiwe Mzekandaba is the IT in government editor at ITWeb. She is at the heart of tech initiatives, policies and digital transformation strategies within the public sector, as well as IT in banking and education. Simnikiwe joined ITWeb in 2012 following a stints in radio and television. Before her move to ITWeb's online team, she wrote news stories for pan-African and sister publication ITWeb Africa. It was her love for telling African stories and showcasing the potential of ICT on the continent that attracted her to this sector. Simnikiwe holds an honour's degree in journalism from Rhodes University. Behind that smile, she is plotting how best to get government officials to respond to her emails before deadline :)
