Charl van der Walt

chief strategy officer,
SecureData SensePost

Charl van der Walt is the original founder of SensePost - a pen testing company in South Africa and in the UK - where he still sits on the board. After they sold SensePost to SecureData, he took a diverse role within the group that includes leading its research unit, directing security strategy and leading the Security Intelligence Unit. He has spoken on a variety of occasions over the duration of his career, including Black Hat, HITB, Defcon, NATA CCDCOE, BSides and 44Con.



Dr Suelette Dreyfus

Academic Specialist, School of Computing and
Information Systems, University of Melbourne (Australia)

Dr Suelette Dreyfus is an academic in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. Her fields include digital privacy and cybersecurity, as well as e-health and digital whistleblowing. She is the co-author of a cult-classic book on computer hacking with Julian Assange, which has been turned into two films and translated into seven languages. She was part of the team that developed the first free, open source deniable encryption file system. She co-leads a research project into the digital tracking of consumers in online environments and the study of how their privacy can be defended.

Dr Kenneth Geers

Senior Fellow, Atlantic Council; Ambassador,
NATO Cyber Centre (USA)

Kenneth served for 20 years in the U.S. Government, in the Army, National Security Agency (NSA), Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and NATO. In the private sector, he was a Senior Global Threat Analyst at FireEye and a Senior Research Scientist at Comodo. In academia, he was a Visiting Professor at the National University of Kyiv in Ukraine.

Jo Stewart-Rattray

Director of Information Security & IT Assurance,
BRM Advisory (Australia)

Jo has over 25 years’ experience in IT and specialises in consulting in risk and technology issues with a particular emphasis on governance and security. Jo has chaired a number of ISACA’s international committees and served as an Elected Director on ISACA’s international Board of Directors for 7 years. She was the founder of its global women’s leadership initiative, SheLeadsTech.
