Conference Johannesburg: 25 & 26 August 2020
Conference Cape Town: 1 September 2020
Submission Open 20 March 2020
Submission Close 30 June 2020
Presentation draft deadline 28 July 2020
Final Presentation deadline 11 August 2020
Anyone who: is an expert in information or cybersecurity; has practical and relevant experience to share about mitigating the risks of information or cybersecurity; has a product-independent case study to showcase. Please also read the guidelines below before submitting your proposal.
Please send your submission to Ros Hinchcliffe, ros@itweb.co.za, before close of business on 30 June 2020.
Please be advised that if you wish to submit a paper for the plenary or the track sessions, sales pitches will not be considered. You are kindly requested to submit a paper which focuses on your chosen topic without referencing your company’s products or solutions (if you are a solution provider). Where possible we would request that you put forward a senior representative who is an industry expert and not a sales or marketing executive. Sales/marketing executives are welcome to submit a presentation proposal for the product/demo area (see below).
End-user speakers are encouraged to focus on case studies and the practical application of the subject rather than theory. If you are a solution provider, we recommend that you invite a client to give a joint presentation with you, as these presentations are popular and will be given preference in terms of position on the programme.
Presentations should be content-rich and content should be up to date and relevant to the target audience. A breakdown of expected job titles and industry sectors can be provided on request.
There is also an option of submitting a product presentation and/or demonstration which will take place either in an ‘auditorium’ which will be part of the exhibition area, or in a separate track. We will still need the name, profile and photo of the speaker and a synopsis of your proposed talk, but for these speaking slots the guidelines around sales pitches do not apply. If you are submitting a paper for this area, please indicate this clearly in your submission.
