By innovating how identity and access management supports new business initiatives, he guides some of the biggest companies in a socially connected world. Jaco Greyling, pre-sales manager for service assurance and application delivery, CA Southern Africa has more than 10 years experience in building complex infrastructure solutions.

Greyling joined UBS in 2000 where he helped to build the first e-commerce web infrastructure for UBS in partnership with Digital Island. In 2002 he joined the Middleware Technology Services’ Distributed Infrastructure Solutions team responsible for over 500 web servers globally.

In 2005, Greyling joined Equities IT in developing various infrastructure solutions also forming part of the SSENG design team responsible for the infrastructure architecture and then joined CA Southern Africa in 2010 as solution architect specialising in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions.

Greyling is currently studying for a BA in Health Science and Social Services from the University of South Africa.

Darren Horne has spent over 25 years in the technology sector with the last 15 years focussing on integration, security, and edge technologies. He has spent the last 10 years at Layer 7 Technologies, which was purchased by CA Technologies in June, 2013, working with customers on mobile, cloud and SOA initiatives.

Gareth James, solutions strategist: mobility and cloud, CA Southern Africa
Gareth James is actively involved in numerous facets of Virtualization and Cloud Computing. He read an honours degree in Electronic Engineering, and followed this up with a slew of Information Technology certifications. He spent 10 years working in the City of London before returning to South Africa where he is now based. In 2010 he wrote a book on Desktop Virtualization which was published by Syngress in the United States. Gareth has been a prolific blogger and is the group owner of the largest South African IT related LinkedIn Group “Virtualization and Cloud Computing in South Africa”.

Tom Juhl, principal architect & advisor, CA Technologies
Tom is now a member of the worldwide Mainframe Solutions Unit at CA technologies and has previously served several roles in the CA Mainframe pre-sales team in Europe, including managing the Mainframe Competency Centers in Europe to supply specialist knowledge across the key mainframe management product portfolios to all the European regions and sales teams.

Tom joined CA in 1999 as a Mainframe IT veteran with now 30+ years of industry experience. He held various positions in IT organizations across Europe throughout his career and has specifically focused on operations management areas and associated disciplines.

Tom received his IT exam at Odense Teknikum, Denmark in 1979.

Burt Klein, technology executive, CA Technologies
Burt Klein is a technology executive with extensive experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle. Most recently, Klein was the executive responsible for performance engineering and validation for the Global Consumer & Small Business Banking at Bank of America. Prior to this role, he held other leadership positions, including eCommerce Functional Testing executive, Shared Services executive, Bank of Future innovation, Operational Readiness senior manager, and a role in the Strategic Technology Group.

He possesses vast knowledge in the areas of performance and resiliency validation, automation and productivity effectiveness, environments management and support, data, software configuration management and process definition.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 1997, Klein ran a boutique consulting firm for 10 years that focused on database administration, systems programming, application integration and system conversions.

Klein has a bachelor degree in business administration, majoring in management information systems and accounting, as well as minors in computer science and mathematics. He is also Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

Martin de Lange, IT service management architect, RMB

Martin de Lange has 20 years of broad-based experience in Information Technology, of which 13 at Investment Banks. During the past 3 years, Martin and his team architected, built and implemented RMB's service model. The model enabled transparency, Service Portability and Continual Service Improvement. In turn, this resulted in increased efficiency and effectiveness in the use of technology infrastructure and people.

Martin holds two degrees in Computer Science and is TOGAF and ITIL certified.

Hannes Lategan, senior business technology architect - office of the CTO, CA Southern Africa
Hannes Lategan is a solution strategist with 27 years of information technology experience. He has gained experience in technical and managerial roles with both VARs and Vendors/OEMs. Hannes has been helping customers with solutions in a several industries, including government, telecommunications, manufacturing, finance, oil-and-gas, airlines and media-and-publishing.

In recent years, Hannes has worked closely with several CA solution sets, covering enterprise and business service management. Hannes has been conducting enterprise management assessments from an operational, service and business service management perspective including projecting the value of IT to both company executives and customers for some large organisations in SA.

Hannes has over the years gained a lot of experience in the area of ICT management solutions and their capabilities related to providing insight into its value to the business. Hannes has of late also spent a lot of his time on constructing solutions around the data centre of the future and its utilisation of technologies such as virtualisation and automation including CA and Cisco collaboration efforts around UCS.

Some of the highlights of Hannes’ career must undoubtedly be the design of management command centre solutions for the European Commission and also Persetel Q-Data (now Business Connexion).

Valerie Levitte, senior consultant, CA Southern Africa

Valerie Levitte has over 30 years of experience in the information technology field in a variety of technical roles. Valerie has worked for large national and international companies including Old Mutual, National Mutual of Australasia, Anglo American, AECI and CA. Valerie joined CA (then represented in South Africa by Compusons) in 1992 and has worked in both the mainframe and distributed environments. Valerie is a Senior Consultant working in the Pre-Sales division of CA Southern Africa. She is responsible for positioning and proving CA's products and solutions to address clients' and partners' business and IT needs. Her key focus areas are Service Management, Project and Portfolio Management and Capacity Management. Her certifications include ITIL v 3 Foundation and CompTIA Cloud Essentials.

Peter Lindsay, business unit manager, CA Southern Africa
Peter Lindsay has held several business unit leadership positions in IT sales and IT services businesses. He holds a Masters Diploma in Technology, Electrical Engineering (light current) and has completed his second year (cum laude) of a Bachelor of Commerce. He started in his career in IT back in 1980 in data communications and held various technical posts before becoming an IT advisor, responsible for providing IT infrastructure ‘blue-prints’ for a large utility. He then joined an IT vendor and has held various positions, including business unit manager, general manager, delivery director, consulting manager, regional services manager, and operations manager.

Carl has over 20 years of experience in the IT management market, focused in the areas of network and systems management, application performance management and service assurance. Having previously held positions in technical sales, product marketing and business development he joined CA Technologies in 2005 and is currently responsible for CA’s service assurance business in the EMEA Eastern & Africa region. Carl has also spend time working in Asia Pacific and is a regular presenter at user forums and industry events. He is based in the UK.

Andrew Meyer
Andrew is an Information Security consultant heading up the consulting business for Nclose.

Andrew has 13 years' experience in Security, he 'cut his teeth' working at Deutsche Bank and HSH Nordbank in London as a Security Professional and IT Security Officer respectfully.

Andrew has broad-based knowledge within the Security field and has been a senior member of a number of Security Technology implementations, most recently an enterprise CA IMAG implementation.

His most recent role prior to Nclose was that of Information Security Officer at TFG (The Foschini Group).

His certifications include, Prince2 Practitioner, ITIL V3 Foundation, CISSP and CISM.

Ugan Naidoo
Ugan Naidoo currently heads up the security business unit for CA Southern Africa. He has over 14 years of experience in the IT Industry and has led a number of large-scale, high-value projects and has specialist knowledge in the areas of information security, identity and access management and enterprise architecture.

Prior to joining CA, Naidoo has been employed in key positions at the following companies: Fujitsu; PricewaterhouseCoopers and Eskom. A professional engineer, Naidoo holds an honours degree in engineering and a masters degree in business administration.

Driaan Odendaal
Driaan Odendaal is a senior presales consultant and solutions architect in the data management business of CA Southern Africa. He has been in the IT industry for the last 13 years, seven of them in a systems administrator role. He is well versed in the discipline of storage management, and brings with him the unique combination of technical understanding, architectural design and implementation, as well as the end-user experience.

Hila Meller, Head of Security Strategy EMEA, CA Technologies
Hila Meller leads the strategy efforts in EMEA for the Security business at CA Technologies. Meller is responsible for ensuring the company’s products, services, cloud offerings and partnerships help customers deliver online business in a secure manner, and also addressing future business needs. She joined CA Technologies in 2008, as part of the Eurekify acquisition, where she acted as the VP sales EMEA. Prior to that, she worked for several years at Avnet Information Security in different executive roles among them- ERP Department Manager and VP of Products and Services. She brings unique international experience in the Security and Risk Management space. She has a bachelor degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Master in Business Administration.

John Michelsen, CTO, CA Technologies
As the CTO of CA Technologies, John Michelson is responsible for technical leadership and innovation, further developing the company’s technical community and aligning the company’s software strategy, architecture and partner relationships to deliver customer value. Michelson is also responsible for delivering common technology services, ensuring architectural compliance and integration of the company's products and solutions.

A holder of multiple patents including market-leading inventions delivered in database, distributed computing, virtual/cloud management, multi-channel Web application portals, service virtualisation (LISA), and many others, Michelson is a factory of innovation.

Michelson has earned degrees in Business and Computer Science from Trinity University and Columbus University. Author of a best practices book: “Service Virtualization: Reality is Overrated”, Michelson has contributed to dozens of leading technical journals and conference publications, with topics ranging from hierarchical database techniques and agile development, to the customer delivery benefits of virtualisation.

Shridhar Mittal, GM: application delivery business unit, CA Technologies

Shridhar is general manager of the CA Application Delivery Business Unit. As an accomplished executive career leading global teams in marketing, sales, implementation and business development of software applications, he joined CA through the acquisition of ITKO in August 2011. Shridhar was the CEO of ITKO.
Prior to ITKO, Shridhar has held several key management roles during a 11-year tenure at i2, including CMO, SVP and GM of the High-Tech Business Unit and vice president of eBusiness solutions.

His deep understanding of sales management, product management, development and end customer business needs were essential in helping i2 grow from a startup to a world-class enterprise software company.

He started his career as an applications engineer for Ford Motor Company. Shridhar holds software and process engineering patents. He earned Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and SUNY Buffalo, respectively.

Patrick Price, principal consultant, CA Southern Africa
Patrick Price has over 30 years of experience in the information technology field in a variety of technical roles. Patrick has worked for large national and international companies both in South Africa as well as in England and the US. He is currently responsible for presales for all CA Service Management at CA Southern Africa. He is also a certified ITIL V2 Manager as well as an ITIL V3 Expert and is currently working on a number of service management projects that encompass most of the ITIL disciplines. Some of these projects include a SaaS hosted Service Desk offering, projects focussed on IT asset management, Service Level Management initiatives, and developing a focus towards user requisition enablement using CA Service Catalog. All of this with a purpose to assist customers in aligning to the new developments coming out of ITIL V3.

Chris Rae, VP: mobility solutions, CA Technologies
Chris Rae has been working in IT for over 20 years. He began his career as a lecturer in Mainframe PL1 programming techniques. After two years, he moved into sales of mainframe solutions, where he first had exposure to virtualisation. Over the length of his career, he has gained experience in many diverse areas such as mainframe systems management tools, distributed systems availability technology, and SAP support solutions. During his years at BMC, he promoted the BSM proposition, particularly with regard to change and configuration management as it applied to virtualisation. Now as VP of mobility solutions within CA, he has been at the forefront of CA’s move towards the world of the mobile workforce.

Eren Ramdhani, solutions strategist: security, CA Southern Africa
Eren Ramdhani has spent the last 14 years in the financial services industry, working predominantly in information security. The major area of focus has been identity and access management (IAM), services-oriented architectures and cloud computing. He has also been intimately involved with information security assessments and evaluations for new and existing financial services products, together with integration activities as part of various mergers and acquisitions. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge around financial services and products, business analysis, project management and security architecture disciplines. Ramdhani is currently with CA Southern Africa, which is a part the local EOH Group, and consults to organisations around their IAM, privileged user management, data loss prevention and advanced authentication objectives.

Bjarne Rasmussen, head of pre-sales, CTO & SVP, EMEA
Bjarne and the CTO team work with CA Technologies’ largest customers to ensure that the technology and solution strategy maps to the customer’s needs. The pre-sales team develop solutions based on customers business and technical requirements.

Bjarne joined CA Technologies in 1999 and have been holding technical, services and solution sales leadership positions in the Nordic, Middle East & Africa and since 2007 for EMEA.

Chris Rowett as technical sales director for service virtualisation in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Chris Rowett is responsible for driving the adoption of a truly transformative approach to delivering high quality applications faster, yet cheaper. Rowett leverages his 20+ years in the software industry to help enterprises and partners with this new approach.

Before joining CA Technologies in January 2012, Rowett held management positions in both technical sales and professional services for application, middleware and database companies at companies such as IBM, OpenPages, Cape Clear and Sonic. With this experience, he has an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by blue-chip companies today as they try to deliver more capability, more rapidly, at higher quality and with less cost.

Based in the UK, Rowett is a native of England and received a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Kent.

Justin Vaughan-Brown
Maddalena joined CA in 2010 as a Senior Engineer in the Mainframe Service Center. In this role, she is responsible for a number of Systems products in EMEA and the Chorus Platform specifically. She frequently works on site with clients, and she is also a frequent presenter at internal and external CA events. Maddalena started her career in 1989 with IBM and after an intensive training period she worked as an Information Technology Specialist in EMEA on various assignments (MVS Software Support Center, Trainer, co-author of 2 red-books).

She then moved to an SE role and worked with many of the large IBM Mainframe customers in EMEA. Maddalena has hands-on experience with many IBM products and products from other ISV’s. After leaving IBM in 2001, she worked as a Mainframe specialist on large mainframe projects with Deutsche Boerse (German Stock Exchange) and as a z/OS consultant for ECS Group.

Justin Vaughan-Brown, strategic relationships director EMEA, iTKO, a CA Technologies company
As strategic relationships director for service virtualisation in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Justin Vaughan-Brown is responsible for raising awareness of a transformative approach to delivering high quality applications faster, yet cheaper. Vaughan-Brown leverages his 15-plus years in the software industry to evangelise this new approach to both enterprises themselves and the consulting partners who can assist them in implementing this.

Before joining CA Technologies in February 2012, Vaughan-Brown held various marketing and alliances positions with major industry names such as Microsoft, Software AG, BusinessObjects and SAS. He has also held senior European marketing roles with data integration, document security and high performance database vendors. This background has brought a solid understanding of many leading areas of IT, including CRM, analytics, service management, mainframes and middleware.

Based in Germany, Vaughan-Brown is a native of England and received a bachelor's degree in European Modern History from the University of Warwick.

Michael Zinda, CA Technologies, senior VP: mainframe solution center
Mike Zinda
A 30-year veteran of the IT industry, Michael Zinda is a senior VP and leads CA’s Mainframe Solution Center (MSC). In this position, he is chiefly responsible for assuring overall client success in all aspects of CA’s technologies, with a particular focus on CA’s mainframe solutions portfolio. He frequently meets with CA clients’ C-level executives to understand their most pressing IT challenges, and drives CA’s mainframe strategy to help address them.

Zinda develops and executes strategic projects such as the Mainframe Software Rationalization Program (MSRP), which has been a critical component of the growth of CA’s mainframe business. He also manages a team of industry-leading experts within the MSC, who are dedicated to driving client adoption and success with new technology such as Chorus, Mainframe Software Manager, Cross-Enterprise Application Performance Management, and AppLogic and other Linux on System z initiatives.

Zinda also plays a key role in identifying gaps in CA’s technical portfolio and developing strategies to address them via acquisitions or partnerships. His MSC team has performed technical due diligence on many potential M&A targets and partnerships.

Before joining the leadership of the Mainframe Business Unit, Zinda was senior VP of development operations, where he was responsible for planning and building CA’s R&D facility in Hyderabad, India, along with the Mainframe Center of Excellence in the Czech Republic. Zinda has also held several other senior management positions since joining CA in 1984, including positions in the development, technical sales and services organisations.

Zinda’s overall vision and his commitment to client success, along with maintaining a culture of excellence, have made him an important contributor to CA’s overall business performance.
